INTRODUCTION – WORKING FOREMAN

We have an enviable reputation for being approached to work on a variety of projects from prestige new build dwellings to listed and heritage buildings.

We take a modern academic approach to our projects and are constantly active in historical research to understand construction details and to facilitate complex design issues. We observe specifications but also share ideas. Emphasis is placed heavily on teamwork to work in close collaboration with our clients to deliver projects enjoyably, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Site-based supervising projects up to the value of £3 million
  • Assisting the Project Managers to ensure that the projects are completed safely, on time, to budget and to the highest standard of workmanship.
  • Overseeing the activities and performance of employees, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Daily site control
  • There will be requirements to carry out skilled and unskilled labouring task as part of the role.

Candidate

To be considered for this position the candidate should ideally;

  • Hold a current SSSTS qualification / SMSTS preferred.
  • Full First Aid at Work Certificate.
  • Have a high level of Health & Safety Awareness
  • Have strong Communication Skills
  • Driving licence and own transport is essential.

Requirements:

  • Time served.
  • Experience in reading drawings & written instructions.
  • Ability to use problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • To be able to work independently or as part of a team.
